The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM MDT Thursday.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area.
* WINDS...By early afternoon south winds will be increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph in portions of Southwest Colorado.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Fire starts could lead to quickly spreading fires which could be difficult or impossible to control.
